Fantastic restaurant! Love to come here with my boyfriend. Very friendly staff, delicious food and fast service. I have a shrimp allergy and they can accommodate me when not too busy. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent food, authentic Chinese taste. Price wasn't too bad, location is very nice for dates as it is upscale.
We loved it. Arrived at opening, owners spent time with us, and were very cordial. We learned that they have had this business for 30 years and the construction in the area has hit them hard. Regardless they were friendly very accommodating and after we ate we ordered more to go. Authentic food and people. Very happy with our experience.
Amazing food, very friendly staff, with a great atmosphere. They even accommodate my girlfriend's shellfish allergy!
Food was terrific. The General Cho's chicken was light and slightly crispy in a delicious authentic spiced sauce. The crispy 5 spiced duck was heaven.
white rice tasted weird. staff were nice. not busy during lunch
I did not enjoy the food, I have had better. The service was good. The place is dated. Went on a Friday evening and we were the only patrons. The location is great. Parking is in the street or you can take public transit.
Great dumplings and the Shanghai noodles weren't half bad either. The service was quick, polite, and nice. It's a cute little place, not too expensive either. Definitely coming back.
Staying in Montreal and found this restaurant on Google Maps. Great food, very pleasant staff. Interesting choices on the menu as well.
Very good service and tasty food.
Beautiful interior and friendly staff added to the experience here. I had the schezuan beef and it was amazing. Next time I'm in town I'll be back for more.
Good food with decent portions, and good service. Only one beer selection.
Boring flavours, poor meal. Not worth the money.
Got the house noodles for lunch. Was very good, perfect amount of spicyness. Good portion as well. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in Montreal. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for great Chinese food at a reasonable price. Also great for a date :)
Food wasn't very flavourful, and the service was very slow. Watch out for the super strong spring on the men's restroom door!
Best Chinese food in downtown. Love their sweet and sour fish.
I tried their vegetable fried rice:tasty. Their general tao was very good. Their beef with ginger sauce was very good. Three people can have a good dinner within 50 cad. I liked the environment
Delicious meal and very friendly staff. They graciously revised a menu item to make it gluten free for me. The spring rolls were terrific.
Cozy restaurant that serves westernized Cantonese cuisine. Menu is full of foods typical for Chinese restaurants that cater to Canadian tastes, and also the cooking style has been modified to suit Western palettes. If you like this style of Chinese food you will like this place. If you are looking for traditional Chinese food, then probably this isn't the place for you. Good service and nice decor.
Garbage take-out. I've had many noodle dishes. Their " Crispy Noodles Szechuan Style" was 80% noodles (soggy by the time I got home) and 2% chicken from an unrecognizable part of the chicken. I'm sorry I waited over 30 minutes to take out this awful over-priced dish.
Lovely place, lovely owners, duck was fantastic
Literally the best shrimp I've ever had. I don't know what they did to it but was like eating lobster. The other food was amazing as well but I can't wait to go back for that shrimp, like holy I'm still thinking about it
Best restaurant... great food and service
This is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Montreal. So low key, unpretentious, authentic... Love it!
The owners are super nice and the foods are amazing. I especially love the fried eggplants with Hui-siang source. It is just perfect to eat with a bowl of rice. So yummy!
During my life I tried a lot of different restaurants... however if you want something tasty and wonderful this is the best Chinese restaurant I tried so far. The waitress was amazing with us and with our son (he is usually very picky to eat, not this time). The food was amazing, I had Pork sweet and sower and my wife had Duck (I don't remember what it was). Both cooked to perfection. Not to expensive, restaurant super cozy and friendly.6 Stars out of 5 (because my son eat and repeat.... and to do that the food needs to be 110%)GREAT JOB :)(unfortunately no pictures)
food is always delicious, made with care. very friendly owners/managers.
Personal service, peaceful setting, excellent quality and tasty traditional Chinese. The best in town and may be all of Ontario. Been coming here for the past 15 years with no disappointment.
We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. The lady was pleasant and accommodating - my gal is gluten intolerant. They served her a gluten free hot n’sour soup with gluten free dumplings. The chef did a delicious gluten free spicy fish ( special order ). We were amazed by their ingenuity. The place was busy with many asian people 🙂. A good deal for the quality !
Very decent place. Accommodatingly priced and very nice food. No flourishes here, this place delivers authentic delicious Chinese cuisine. The interior is warm and cozy, but in which it can also acceptably be bordered on the loosely proper side. Do recommend
Awesome food that one of the dish actually made me cried...it was spice. We are from ottawa and this was our first time there and it was excellent and the service was 5 star.
Good food and great service. Place is clean and well decorated. The owners take time to chat and listen
Delicious food! They were also very accommodating with gluten allergy.
This is THE best szhezuan (sp?) Restraunt in Montreal, possibly in Quebec. I don’t have the opportunity to eat there often, but have been dining there for well over 10 years. It never disappoints. The good is top quality, the service is even better. The family who owns and works there are absolute gems. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
One of the best restaurants in Montreal , the Wonton soup and chicken with ginger sauce is to die for. Must recommended for a good date
This place was delicious and very satisfying. They give you great portions and food tastes good. The dumplings were amazing and they came with four. Those noodles are the Singapore noodles and they were perfect. I ordered Shrimp Kung Pao and they paired well together. I would recommend this place and would love to come back again.
It was a very nice experience eventually. Initially when we went we found we were the only diners at the whole place and felt a bit weird. But the generosity, warmth and the friendliness of the waiter made us feel at peace. There was nice Chinese music in the background- not too loud or too soft. The food was equally good. The price is within budget. We had tofu and Singaporean noodles.
Very friendly and quick service. The chicken with corn soup was tasty and just what I needed on a cold day. We had the beef with Szechuan pepper and it was so flavorful and delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Great hospitality, food was pretty good good, will go again!
Excellent food and service, just as previous reviews wrote. The food tastes clean, elegant, and deep, belying the rather humble presentation. The restaurant is oddly idle, possibly due to hard to find location ( its a bit off the position listed in the map), and how the building looks.
Food was super good and service was lovely ! :)
Best part of this restaurant is its service and staff. The food is incredible and served with orchid petals. It's just a great place overall and our regular Chinese food place (we used to live right across).
Cheap, friendly service: usually quiet
Good variety, however, it is not a typical Chinese restaurant. The won ton soup was okay, and for my main course, I had a very good platter of chicken maple mustard with veggies. The ambiance was very nice and a bit romantic. Everything on the menu wasn't really expensive. Not a must, but definitely a good restaurant. I'll go back without any doubt.
Great ambience, clean and neat, friendly staff and ofcourse great food. My food was just the the right amount of hot, tasty and the way I asked them. Nice place to go on a date!
Stay away from this place. The people that are stating this is the best food they have had know nothing. All BS posts! The food here has zero taste, expensive prices. I will never dine here ever again. To the rest of you if you are going to post a review for restaurants at least be honest. All previous reviews do not justify eating here.
great food!!!
They are very friendly and welcoming and the food is awesome. I haven't had similar quality of Chinese food anywhere else so far. definitely recommend to try it
Please visit... good simple no frills chinese food.
